ITEACHU EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS AND SOFTWARE – END USER LICENCE AGREEMENT

Thank you for your interest in iTeachU.  Here is a summary of the End User Licence Agreement:

SUMMARY

  • iTeachU Limited (2036301) of, 812 Silvercord, Tower 1, 30 Canton Rd, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong, I Teach University™, (iTeachU), delivers online education or information courses. iTeachU offers a variety of courses:
  • Distance education course: Delivered, conducted and managed via electronic means.
  • Practical workshops: Electronic learning materials and exercises, management tools for the practical course delivery, simulator training integration or logbook services.
  • Miscellaneous education or information services.
  • Each course consists of subject(s) or tutorial(s) and to complete a course you need to successfully complete each of its components. Courses are completed by passing or submitting all the online assessments as described on iTeachU’s website.
  • iTeachU will provide you with certification for each subject and/or course that you successfully complete.
  • To enrol in a course or a subject you must pay the applicable, non-refundable fee. Upon paying the fee, iTeachU will provide you with a licence to use, and access to, the educational materials and software relating to that course or subject.  The educational materials are downloaded to your devices via an application (App), or alternatively accessible via a web browser on your computer. Log in details and user guides are provided to you by email or other means.
  • Your use of the educational materials and software provided by iTeachU is subject to the terms and conditions of the complete End User Licence Agreement as set out below. This agreement is a binding contract between iTeachU and you.
  • You must not use the educational materials and software provided by iTeachU in any way that could harm the educational materials and software, other users, or iTeachU.
  • You must not pass on the educational materials to any non registered person;

iTeachU Limited (2036301) (iTeachU) respects and is committed to protecting your privacy. We observe applicable laws protecting privacy. In some circumstances, we may undertake contractual obligations to observe additional privacy obligations. Where appropriate we will handle personal information relying on the employee records exemption and the related bodies corporate exemption in the Privacy Act.

This website privacy policy (this Privacy Policy) applies to the personal information that we collect through this website (www.iteachu.com/) and, where applicable, in the course of you enrolling in, or undertaking, the educational subjects and/or courses provided by ITeachU. Where we collect personal information in the course of you enrolling in, or undertaking, the educational subjects and/or courses, this Privacy Policy must be read together with the End User Licence Agreement that governs such enrolment. Your enrolment in the educational subjects and/or courses is completely optional.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and if we do so, we will post any updated Privacy Policy on this website. We encourage you to check this website periodically to ensure that you are aware of our current Privacy Policy.

  1. What we collect

We collect personal information about individuals who use our website and/or enrol in the educational subjects and courses provided by iTeachU. Generally, if appropriate, we will tell you why we are collecting personal information when we collect it and how we plan to use it, or these things will be obvious when we collect the information.

We usually collect personal information such as your name, address, telephone number, email address, birth date and educational history as necessary for us to provide our services. From time to time we may collect other information which is necessary to provide these services.

We may collect sensitive information (as defined in the Privacy Act), such as information about your membership of a professional association. If we do, we will seek your consent to collect it if required by law to do so.

If you choose not to provide certain personal information to us, we may not be able to provide you with the services you require.

We generally use and disclose your personal information to provide services to you and for our business operations, and for any other purposes for which it was collected, as well as for related purposes that would be reasonably expected by you (or otherwise as required or authorised by law). We may collect information about you such as your name and contact information, including postal and email address to enable us to fulfil our obligations under any contract with you, to ensure that you meet eligibility requirements for receiving our services or participating in our courses, and to fulfil associated administrative and other functions.

If you send information to any bulletin board, forum or newsgroup that may be available on this website, please remember that any information that you provide will become public and exercise caution in disclosing it.

When you apply for a job or contract with us we may collect certain information from you, from any recruitment consultant and from your previous employers and others who may be able to provide information to us to assist us in our decision on whether or not to make you an offer of employment or engage you under a contract. If you are made, and accept, an offer of employment with us this Privacy Policy will not apply to our acts and practices in relation to employee records about you as a current or former employee as those records are exempt from the Privacy Act.

Information that we collect about you is only held as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it is collected, or until any applicable legal obligations to hold the information end. We are legally required to keep records of all transactions that involve payment to us for seven years. We store such records securely, and it can be accessed only by authorised staff. Electronic records of transactions can only be accessed by authorised staff.

For the purposes described above, ITeachU may disclose your personal information:

  • to our suppliers (including service and content providers), contractors, dealers, agents, and business partners who help us deliver a service or product to you;

  • to entities associated with ITeachU that help us provide and certify the educational subjects and courses supplied by ITeachU;

We will take reasonable steps to ensure that the persons and organisations to whom we disclose personal information are bound to protect the privacy of that personal information.

We will not give your personal information to any outside organisations for the purpose of allowing them to market their goods or services to you unless you permit us to do so.

Please note that some of the persons to whom we disclose personal information may be situated outside Australia. Some of our promotional material may include photographs and other personal information about staff, students and visitors and may be made available to the public, including on the internet and outside Australia.
